CONTEST

The Horeca Expo Oltenia contest will take place on March 10, 2018, starting at 12:00 at the Craiova Multifunctional Center. The deadline for submission is March 6, 2018.

Rules of Conduct:

You can register confectioners, pastries and bakeries from all over the Oltenia region to enter the race for:
- The cake of the year 2018
- The bread of the year 2018
- The best pastry product

Cake of the year

Theme: TRAVEL & FUN

Main Ingredient: CIOCOLATE

Each exhibitor will be able to enroll one or more products in a contest, for each product the competitor will have two copies, one to be judged by the jury, the second model to be displayed and presented to the public throughout the exhibition Horeca Expo Oltenia.

The main criteria of grading will be taste, originality, decor, inspiration in choosing the name.

Other criteria judged by the members of the jury: the quality of the tops, the degree of saturation, the composition of the creams, the availability and origin of the ingredients used, the healthy character of the raw materials, the harmony between the decorative elements and the interior of the cake, and last but not least the originality of the recipe

Each competitor will provide all utensils necessary for the jury's display and tasting of the product (tables, tablecloths, plates, trays, dishes, teaspoons, knife, napkins, water, etc.).

Each competitor will present next to the cake: the name of the cake and the ingredients used to make it.
The label cannot include names, logos, symbols, or other graphic elements of the company or author.

Contest Awards::
- The Cake of the Year
- Award for the best taste
- Creativity Award - the best decoration

Winners receive:
- A travel voucher worth 300 RON and the competition trophy.
- A travel voucher worth 100 RON and Plaques.
- They will benefit from a promotional campaign from the part of the organizers and a raise of awareness through media channels.
- Advertising banner for 12 months on the websites: www.horecaexpooltenia.ro and www.targdeturismoltenia.ro
- Promotion campaign on the fair Facebook page;
- Presence in TV and radio shows dedicated to the event.
- Interview article on www.horecaexpooltenia.ro.

The trophies will be handed by Chef Cezar Muntean.

Once the judging has ended, all the products presented in the contest will remain exposed throughout the exhibition and will only be withdrawn after the program has been closed.

After the awarding ceremony, competitors will be able to show each product with a label containing the company name and the name of the person who made the product.

Participation Fee:
Standard- 150 RON without VAT, includes:
- participation in the contest with a single product,
- Exhibition on a 1.5 square meter table in the horeca exhibition area.
- roll-up in the exhibition area
- posters and promotional flyers at the exhibition site
Note: exhibitors may present more products, but only one must participate in the contest.

Expanded for several products participating in the contest: - 90 RON without VAT / product, starting with the second product.

Bread of the Year

In this category, competitors will have the task of presenting bread made in industrial or artisanal process.

Each exhibitor will be able to sign up one or more products, for each product the competitor will have two copies, one to be judged by the jury, the second to be exhibited and presented to the public throughout the Horeca Expo Oltenia fair.

Each competitor will present alongside the product in the contest, a label, containing the name of the bread and ingredients used.

The label may NOT include names, logos, symbols, or other identifying features of the production company or the author.

Judging criteria: properties (appearance, shape, core, crust, taste, flavor), creativity.


Winners will receive::
- the Bread of the Year trophy (1st, 2nd and 3rd place), (I will be named Bread of the year 2018)
- a trip voucher worth 300 RON - 1st place and 100 RON - for second and third places.
- will benefit from a promotional campaign from the organizers and a raise of awareness through media channels.

Best Patisserie Product

In this category, competitors will be required to submit a product. The pastry can be made from any type of dough.

Each exhibitor will be able to sign up one or more products, for each product the competitor will have two copies, one to be judged by the jury, the second to be exhibited and presented to the public throughout the Horeca Expo Oltenia.

Each competitor will present alongside the product, a label, containing the name of the product and the ingredients used.

The label may NOT include names, logos, symbols, or other identifying features of the producing company or author.

Winners will receive:
